NEWSLETTER NO 2

Dear Ley Road, Duncton Close and Tryndel Way Residents,

We are now in a position to be able to share with you all further details on our progress.
Firstly, we want to thank all of you for the support that you have shown and given to this initiative; thus far it is clear that you want this to happen and the Organising Committee can now announce that on Friday 19th June a new Limited Company “Felpham Fields Residents Association Ltd” (FFRA Ltd) was formed, this being done with the specific purpose to Purchase the title deeds for our roads from Jacqui Shilton (L E Walwin & Partners). The Company FFRA Ltd will be a non profit making organisation with all membership fees collected going towards the upkeep and management of the Roads and Verges (The Assets). A key activity of your Organising Committee will also be put towards promoting an already strong social and neighbourly spirit which everyone has shown exists in what will be our own “Felpham Fields”. We thank you for this continued support!

We have been really pleased to receive numerous offers of help and support from residents wanting to become involved and have now in place the structure to explain how our organisation will work, (Memorandum and Articles of Association) and who will run the activity needed to do business i.e. FFRA Ltd Company Directors & Council Officers, we are also preparing a Handbook & Code Of Conduct for easy reference on the structure and function. For those that want to help there is also in place how to become involved/elected to join the controlling Council or how just to help perhaps in a less formal role i.e. a sub committee; there will be lots of initiatives for which volunteers will be needed. The time for formal election of Officers positions will be the Company AGM which will be before the end of March 2021. Meanwhile any help would be welcomed whether it be delivering Newsletters or other communications, your Company Secretary Keith at 18 Ley Road is there for members queries and can take offers of help.

Finally:- The Important subject of what the costs are for this initiative. We have now firmed up and have an Agreed Purchase Price for the Roads and Verges and we have estimates for both Legal fees and now annual Public Liability and Directors insurance costs. The figures that we need to charge out to members to cover both the purchase and the ongoing cost for the period from now until the AGM in March are as follows:-

2020 Cost Per Property Owner for the Legal and administrative costs £30 (£15 for Leyton Court)
