ROAD SIGNAGE
Thank you to all of you that placed a Vote in the Road Signage Ballot.
We received an excellent return with 45 Voting forms returned and the results;-
Option A 34
and
Option B 11
A clear majority in favour of Option A.
We will now engage with our supplier and procure and install the new signs at both entrances to Ley Road.
Along with this provision as part of the Agreed plans, we will look to remind non-residential Felpham Fields traffic not to use Ley Road as a cut through, by implementing the occasional road closure at certain periods in the day when the through traffic most occurs. These closures will not affect Felpham Fields Residents deliveries or guests, but will serve only to remind non residents using the Felpham Fields estate that there is no general Public Vehicular right of way along Ley Road. We sincerely hope that this action will slow and stem the traffic flow and make Felpham Fields a safer place for all pedestrians.
Your committee thank you for your support in this matter, which is as a result of members requesting action to stem and slow traffic flow, these measures being Agreed at this year’s AGM.
SECURITY REMINDER
Your Committee would also like to bring to your attention a recent increase in Anti-Social behaviour in the vicinity and some attempted burglaries reported.
We remind every householder to be vigilant and to keep Garage doors, car doors and outside storage containers locked and regularly checked.
An incident of late night “suspicious behaviour” in Ley Road was spotted by one of our residents and reported to the Police. The Police have acknowledged the event to us and have promised to step up local night patrols as well as putting up signage to deter potential offenders.
If anyone spots any suspicious behaviour Night or Day then do not hesitate to contact the Police at once.
We all thank you for your continued support.
Your “Felpham Fields” Council Directors.
