NEWSLETTER NO 5

September 2020 Newsletter STOP PRESS!!

Dear “Felpham Fields” Member,

We have completed on the Purchase of our Roads!
Your Committee can announce in this Newsletter to those Members of Felpham Fields Residents Association Ltd (“Felpham Fields”) that on Monday 21st September we all became the proud owners of the roads and verges making up the Private Roads of Ley Road, Tryndel Way and Duncton Close, thus giving us all the peace of mind that we now have control over what happens to this very important and very special asset “Felpham Fields”.

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and understanding in these very difficult times. As I write this newsletter we are just learning about further restrictions that this rotten virus is causing to our everyday lives. We would by now normally have met in a General meeting to discuss our formation and explain much of what we have been doing and what progress has been made, but because of the restrictions we have had to rely on the power of the written word and the occasional visit you would have received from one of us to help discuss, explain and talk through the benefits and progress of our formation of “Felpham Fields”. That said we have had super feedback that everyone is pulling together with the community spirit we all hoped would be the case with the formation of the Association which otherwise would not have been so strong before COVID descended upon us!

Rest assured that once this rotten virus allows us we will hold a meeting, as our constitution dictates, to formally elect your Council of Members and to discuss and agree the next stages of “Felpham Fields” journey.

I have booked a date in March 2021 for our inaugural AGM which I honestly believe will be our first (ambitious) chance to hold such a meeting, of course within whatever COVID restrictions allow. If it is not possible due to continued restrictions then rest assured that your committee members will be working hard to ensure that your voice can and will be heard in all matters of the running of “Felpham Fields” this includes the Election of your Council officers which as I say would normally be done at the AGM along with providing you with the necessary transparency of our financial management of the company, including budget forecast spends for the coming period.

Our next task is to ensure that we continue to communicate effectively with you all and as such these newsletters will continue to share information both in hard copy but now also via email for those Members who have given me details. We are also planning to open up our Web Site which will also give a great deal of information including copies of minutes of our meetings our Constitution and our Articles of Association as a limited company. We will be canvassing ideas from members for potential areas where we could all benefit, we have already had some great (nil or low cost) ideas put to us which we plan to develop and put out for views which might include, a Notice Board for posting hard copy and community news, improved clearer boundary signs for “Felpham Fields” Roads which it is suggested would improve and protect our privacy and safer usage of the roads. Of course any ideas would need to fully costed and the membership fully involved in the decision process.

Best Regards,

Your “Felpham Fields” Council Members:-
