Dear Ley Road, Duncton Close and Tryndel Way Residents,
Following the sterling work of your fellow residents and the fantastic support received from the initial canvass by Chris Joyce, Graham Smallbones and Phill Hall we now have sufficient support from those in favour, to agree the purchase of our Roads from Jacqui Shilton. This is a massive positive step forward in the control and management of the resource. It says a great deal about the friendly and neighbourly atmosphere our roads possess and by undertaking to commit to this venture we are all able to control our own destiny as a group.
In order for us to proceed with the purchase we are forming a Residents Association which will manage and administer the control of this asset, the aim will be to be a non profit making organisation.
The name of the association will be called “FELPHAM FIELDS RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION Ltd”. With the creation of this Legal entity there will be a Handbook Produced and Articles Of Administration which will outline how the organisation will function and how officers will be appointed to positions and how often the organising committee will meet etc.
The current thinking and initial budget required to enable both the purchase and the set-up of the Association requires each Property to pay a “One Off fee” and then in addition an “Annual Fee” will be charged for the yearly running costs of the association, any surplus monies to be held by the Association on Account.
This is a big step, and one where we will be learning as we go but we have the knowledge and the will to make this work, by doing so we will secure authority over what happens in our roads and hence be in a position to control our own destiny.
