2021 Autumn Newsletter
Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,
INTRO: We do hope you are all well. Your Council have re-instated face to face meetings and have been meeting throughout the summer. This newsletter aims to bring you all up to speed with the main and interesting points we have to share in conducting and managing the business on your behalf:-
SIGNAGE PROJECT:-
Arun District Council (ADC) have agreed to give our road signage a face lift and to replace all the existing road signs in “Felpham Fields”. They have also agreed to assist our objective of improving speed calming along our roads to assist with the introduction of the 20mph limits under the order applied by WSCC. Apportioned cost estimates pertinent to “Felpham Fields” have been received from ADC for the preparation, manufacture and contract installation for new “Felpham Fields” demarcation signs along with the replacements. This cost is within the agreed Budget set for this project at the AGM. The formats of the signs proposed by ADC have now been agreed and your Directors have agreed unanimously to the expenditure and ADC have been notified to proceed, it may be possible to have the signs installed before Christmas. Members are asked to recognise that all plans for the new signs needed to comply with the current regulations, designs and all aspects of the project including planning requirements and design standards had been cleared by the relevant authorities in ADC and WSCC before deciding to proceed and that they are being implemented for the benefit of all of the community.
SOCIAL EVENT:- In line with the general feedback for us to hold a social event, your Organising Committee feel that members may like to support the initiative and celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Royal Jubilee in 2022 with an event Sunday 5th June 2022. The Committee have agreed to help organise the members of “Felpham Fields” to get together and celebrate.
Keith will be in touch with those members that have previously offered to support the Committee in organising any activity with a view to them taking the lead and organising this communal event for Sunday 5th June 2022 to celebrate the Queens Jubilee:-
