Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,
INTRO: We do hope you are all fighting fit and up for the challenges that the New Year brings us all. This newsletter is designed to bring you all up to speed with the main and interesting points we have to share in conducting and managing the business on your behalf:-
SIGNAGE PROJECT:-
As we can all now see the new signs have now been erected and I have to thank all of you that have fed back how nice it all looks in giving “Felpham Fields” an identity as well as smartening up the existing road signs. It is also hoped that people will notice a difference in levels of through traffic using Ley Road and pleasing to hear already that the Tryndel Way residents feedback on levels of “wrong turns” down that road with the new signs has dropped significantly. It is hoped once the road cones are taken away on Summerly Lane (once the Gas works on the Summerly Estate end) that Non-resident parking at that end of Ley Road will cease, until then we do appreciate the difficulties those Summerly Lane residents are encountering with parking and are sympathetic to their parking needs. Our Secretary has a limited number of 20mph Sticker Signs designed to go on Wheelie Bins to help slow down Ley Road through traffic (even if it is only on bin days ) should anyone want to put one on their bin just give Keith a call.
SOCIAL EVENT:- Your Committee are supporting an Organising Group of resident volunteers to organise an event for Her Majesty The Queen’s Royal Jubilee in 2022 event Sunday 5th June 2022. It is hoped to be able to host some form of “Street Party”; the scope and details will be developed by the group of Volunteers who will be meeting shortly to define what can/could be done. Thank you to those that have already put you names forward to help organise this event. If anyone wishes to volunteer to be part of that organising committee then please get in touch with our Secretary, Keith who will be organising the resources for the event.
