NEWSLETTER NO 11

2021 April Newsletter

Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,

INTRO: Almost there! Lockdown restrictions are easing and the weather is picking up (but as I am writing this its Snowing!!). Don’t relax your efforts now.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING In this edition of the Newsletter there are some important announcements as we held our first AGM of your Felpham Fields Residents Association Ltd. I thank all of you for your votes, comments and responses in respect of the AGM Pack that I sent out to all members. On the feedback received it was not so clear that everyone was able to use the Web Site for Voting as intended, but votes were received non the less. All those members that registered an email account on their membership form were asked to vote on line with the fall back position that people could use hard copy voting slips, which some of you did.

The results of the voting and the notes taken reflecting both comments received and points made in correspondence to The Secretary are attached to this Newsletter. The main points were that your Directors were voted in along with your Secretary and Treasurer (The Council) in addition to this the Accounts were agreed along with the Annual Maintenance Works schedule 2021/22 (Road Signage Improvements) and Annual maintenance Fees were agreed for 2021/22 (£60 Houses/£30 Flats).

Thank you to all of you that voted and for making the task easy for me.

Invoices for Maintenance Fees 2021/22

The requests for payment of Annual Fees will shortly be issued and Invoiced individually to residents. When you receive your Invoice (which will include any under or pre payment from 20/21) please pay it promptly, in full within 28 Days, this helps us enormously. Planting Licence:

  • 6 Ley Road Received and Agreement Refused  6th April 2021.

Due consideration was given to this planting request but after a review by the Directors on the possible root damage this would cause, it was considered there would be a serious risk of damage to the cables and ducts laying in the grass verges of the Estate and that in order to protect all the Utilities and ducts from ingress of tree roots, protection must be afforded to them. The recent history of Electricity faults bare witness to this fact, and that as a matter of principle and safety the Council do NOT agree to the planting of Trees per se in the verges of “Felpham Fields”.

Your Directors unanimously agreed in their review of this request that the planting of Trees in the Verges of “Felpham Fields” would not be sanctioned for the reasons recorded and the request to plant the Tree was Rejected.

Stay fit and well,

Your “Felpham Fields” Council.
