Christmas 2020 Newsletter
Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL.
Prime place in this month’s newsletter is that we can at last report that we have a Vaccine being rolled out to help combat this rotten COVID virus, this is great news, although we must all still take care.
We are out of lockdown…….Horray!! but we have new Tier 2 restrictions….. Bah Humbug! This places tighter control over our ability to interact but we must all accept the arrangements which will be in place for the foreseeable future, until we can all be given the vaccine and then hopefully be rid of COVID!
Christmas is just around the corner now and the restrictions are being relaxed for a short time for us to celebrate with loved ones for a few days over the festive season, what a welcomed relief this will be for those of us who have not been able to see close family for so long.
How lovely it is to see so many of the residents of Felpham Fields that have decorated their houses and windows with Christmas lights. It’s great to see so many making the effort to brighten up the roads and cheer up those that pass by. I am sure that a few more twinkles will be going up as we approach Christmas week, well done to all.
At 1800 on Wednesday 16th December keep an eye out for some extra festive neighbourly cheer and merriment, some members and residents of Felpham Fields will be getting into some extra festive spirit. Some people will be embracing the initiative of Doorstep Carols where you can link up with BBC Radio Sussex and sing along to Carols from the confines and safety of your Doorsteps. You may see a few Santa’s hats and Xmas Jumpers out and people generally getting into some neighbourly, socially distanced Christmas spirit along with festive banter and the Carols being sung (in line with current Tier 2 Restrictions). If you are so inclined come to your front gardens and join in sharing some Christmas cheer along with your neighbours. Check out the link https://www.doorstepcarols.co.uk for more details and to get copies of the carols being sung.
Because of COVID restrictions your Committee continue to run business at “arms length” and are currently not meeting in person, but rest assured this doesn’t mean we have downed tools on our responsibilities, we are very much up and running and that all that needs to be done to keep the Felpham Fields functioning is getting done.
So finally, this Christmas Newsletter’s message again is to stay safe, stay fit and healthy and to repeat if we can help anyone during these difficult times then just shout! Either to your Felpham Fields Rep (who delivers your newsletter) or contact our Secretary Keith. Your committee will do whatever it can to assist, if it can’t it will endeavour to find someone that can.
We wish all of “Felpham Fields” its Members and Residents A Very Merry Christmas!!
