NEWSLETTER NO 8

2021 New Year Newsletter

Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

Christmas is now behind us and we now must look forward positively to the New Year bringing us a return to some sense of normality, hopefully in the first quarter 2021. Again I am writing to you all whilst under national restrictions, this time Tier 4. Although this can can be seen as a real pain, it is a necessity as we can now see more than a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. Another Vaccine! the one from Oxford Astra Zeneca is now being given which now means we are beating the virus and there is every chance (if we are to believe and we must continue to be positive) that we could all get the protection we all need by this Easter, wouldn’t that be fantastic!

This is truly great news, although we must all still take care as on the down side there is a blasted new variant of the Corona virus that has got us all back inside again and taking the extra care which is very much necessary and needed. We must all continue to be very careful in what we do and how we do it.

It was great to see so many members and residents who joined in the socially distanced festive celebrations and Carol Singing in support of the national initiative “Doorstep Carols” on 16th December. Smiles all around and some lovely voices heard, well done all that joined in, including those that passed by.

You will note that in December the Power Utilities company SSE were doing some work in Ley Road, this was to find a fault that caused some power outages earlier last year and that they will need to return to complete the work in the coming months. The work is essential to maintain power service to us all and will involving further ground work outside numbers 12 & 14 Ley Road which is likely to cause, unfortunately a necessary disturbance.

So finally, this New Years Newsletter’s message is to be positive! stay safe, stay fit and healthy and to repeat, if we can help anyone during these difficult times then just shout! Your committee will do whatever it can to assist, if it can’t it will endeavour to find someone that can.

We wish all of “Felpham Fields” its Members and Residents A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
