“FELPHAM FIELDS”
2023 SPRING NEWSLETTER
Members + Residents of “Felpham Fields”,
I do hope that you have managed to fight off the cold and wet conditions thrown at us all over the Christmas & New Year period and that everyone is now looking forward to some warmer weather and longer days full of warm sunshine that we are lucky enough to experience here in Felpham. For those that like a statistic or two we recorded 1,852 hours of sunshine, the second highest in the UK being just pipped by Eastbourne (1,892 hours sunshine) which sneaked in as the sunniest place in the UK.
FELPHAM FIELDS PROJECTS:
Notice Board: The Notice board has been ordered and will be installed on the corner of Tryndel Way once received.
Defibrillator Project; Your committee have deliberated and further investigated and following extensive discussion have decided NOT to proceed with the Defibrillator project, a number of factors have led to this decision. In particular problems with permissions for the Housing and powering of the equipment proved to be too complicated to allow 24/7 access for the equipment, so we are not progressing this project.
Annual General Meeting:- This is the first reminderfor the date of the next Felpham Fields AGM which will be held at Felpham Memorial Village Hall on Monday 12th June at 1900. This will be the opportunity to elect/re-elect your Directors who’s terms come up for renewal (Chris Joyce and Phil Hall) re-elect your Hon Treasurer (James Buckley) and Secretary (Keith Cowley) and to agree the Management fees for the coming period. Should anyone wish to become a Director and active member of the Council then please contact the Secretary for the necessary Nomination forms.
King Charles III Coronation “Street Party”:- Following membership requests your Committee have agreed to support the initiative and have given permission to hold a “Street Party” which following the success of the Queens Jubilee Street Party can be held once again in Duncton Close. Volunteers are now sought to organise such an event. Please contact the Secretary if you would like to be part of the Street Party Organising Committee.
VERGE PARKING: Residents are reminded of our Parking policy and the need to please keep off of the grass verges, we need to keep grass damage to an absolute minimum and please repair/re-seed any such damage should it be necessary. The Members Handbook on the web site https://felphamfields.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Version-5-Members-Handbook-FF-28-07-22-Master-v5.pdf outlines the parking policy and the few restrictions we have, your committee appreciate your adherence to the policy.
